TC Beirne Park - Brisbane Festival comes to Hendra!

Locals enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in TC Beirne Park thanks to Hendra resident Chanelle Simpson, from the Brisbane Festival.

About 100 local adults and children turned out to watch Street Serenades with group Tibet2Timbuk2 performing contemporary Nepalese tunes in the Festival’s truck stage.

Picnic blankets and baskets were the order of the day and the little ones danced like no one was watching.

Old and new friends caught up whilst the children enjoyed moving freely between the dance floor (empty space in front of the truck) and the playground.

TC Beirne Park presented beautifully on this early spring afternoon, despite being a little dry with the lack of recent rain.

With COVID-19 compliance in place, we felt lucky to be a Queenslander living in our beautiful suburb Hendra in this time.
